Angry sadness regret fear
Guilt resentment envy shame
These are just a few emotions I feel each day
My emotions run deep
Sometimes they are hard to keep.
They can make you happy.
They can make you weep.
This is what happens when emotions run wild
Sometimes I feel as if my heart is being
Ripped out of my chest.
They are driving me mad.
I don’t know how to feel anymore.
Emotions can be confusing
And sometimes amusing.
They can take over you
Like an unknown force.
They can build you up or bring you down.
It’s all up to you, to turn them around.
They is what happens,
When emotions run deep.
I like this poem. Although you seem to focus on negative emotions, you bring to light the manner in which emotions tend to flip, in an instant. However simple, your poem says a lot. I also like the way you rhymed every so often. However, I feel like this poem can reach much deeper into your emotions, make us feel what you feel whatever that may be.

ReplyDeleteBeing ruled by my emotions, I understand fully the battle between peace and chaos. The negative can both inspire and empower while the positive soothes. To be emotional only means that you are passionate about life.
